A new joint headquarters for the Viennese cemeteries and funeral Vienna.
The 50 by 50 m wide, three-storey building is designed as a large part of reinforced concrete frame.
The customer area located downstairs is covered by asymmetrical, for the purpose of optimal light incidence inclined reinforced concrete prefabricated trusses alternating with glass panels.
Above are in the two upper floors arranged in U, the management areas, whereas the structure to the street side cantilever to 15 m.
The supporting structure for the cantilevered portions are steel structures whose beam flanges come to lie in the concrete ceiling. The cantilever beam in the facade is to support the dominated vertical lines facade image as Vierendeel – without diagonal bars – formed.
To the street side the U-geometry of the upper floors with a 25 m cantilever facade-buckle is closed again to the square. These steel construction does not require the usual diagonal bars, whereby impressive vistas are possible through the band-facade.
