The innovative concept of this housing project for students and former homeless people, who live, work and study together in this building was also defining for the structural planning of the reconstruction. With the support of many private donors, companies and voluntary helpers, the building was refurbished. Many of the new residents lent a hand; companies provided the know-how, staff and materials. The objective was to create a high-quality living space through the efficient use of resources. Constructional focus points included a new yard-side structure, the revitalisation of the courtyard roof and a 1.5-storey loft extension.
