A monolithic four-storey structure sets an architectural and urbanistic sign. The concept of the new SmartCity school campus, consisting of a primary school and a new secondary school, complements the planned development on Wagner-Biro-Strasse.
The large-scale recess of the lower floors creates a new spacious and partially covered entrance area for the new school campus. Inside, a two-storey hall forms the heart of the school campus and is directly connected to the multi-purpose halls, the recreation rooms, the school canteen and the outdoor space.
The Elementary School and the Secondary School are located in two almost mirror-like parts and will be realised in two construction phases.
Construction phase 1 – the twelve-class Leopoldinum – has already been completed and opened in September 2019 at the school start. The completion of the new secondary school in construction phase 2 will complete the SmartCity school campus.
