Werkraum Ingenieure: One era ends and another begins.
Werkraum Ingenieure will remain what they are known for: innovative, responsible, and reliable partners and structural engineers for our business and project partners.
What Peter Bauer, Peter Resch, and Martin Schoderböck have established over more than 30 years will be continued into the future by two new managing directors together with Peter Bauer and Martin Schoderböck.
Jan Umlauf and Mario Weiss, as new managing directors, are no strangers to our project partners and colleagues.
We are proud that our new bosses have grown within our own ranks. Jan Umlauf and Mario Weiss, both long-standing structural engineers at Werkraum Ingenieure, have been with Werkraum Ingenieure since their studies and embody what our structural engineering company stands for.
Peter Resch is taking his well-deserved retirement, which he will certainly not be spending quietly. We have known our likeable Peter for many years and are sure that he will launch one or two new life projects.
One thing is certain: we already miss Peter Resch and hope that he will continue to bring his expertise and warmth to our office during personal visits.
All the best, Peter!
Personal farewell words from Peter Resch
Farewell with a quiet ‘Servus’
When something planned comes to an end, you can look back on it in its entirety: the beginnings, the long period of continuous development that followed. The people who were involved and the many companions along the way. The works that have been created over the years. The many different and challenging tasks. The insights gained and personal experiences. The many joys – and also the inevitable hardships. For me, it is a very beautiful, harmonious picture.
With this image in mind, it is time for me to say goodbye to the ‘Werkraum’.
Thankfully, I have overcome the health challenges of recent years. However, they do not allow me to return to my long-standing position in the office.
That’s how it is. That’s how I accept it.
To my delight, the management and team at the Werkraum have shown during my de facto absence that the office works excellently even without me. For this – and for your loyalty during this difficult time – I would like to express my sincere thanks to you all.
Seen in this light, it is easy to leave.
It is more difficult in view of the personal connections that have developed in the professional environment, many of which go far beyond collegial cooperation. I would miss you, dear friends, if we were no longer able to meet in the future. Thank you for the time spent together.
Will I miss my profession? I would – if I had to give it up entirely.
But I don’t intend to do that. I hope to continue to ‘stay on the ball’ and be able to research, develop and design. Only – and this can be a great relief – on a smaller scale, at my own discretion, at my own pace.
In addition, the last few years have significantly broadened my view of life, and even corrected it. I take this as an achievement and an inner mission with me into my ‘new life’. There should also be enough space here for other things. I am still so curious.
I wish the new, rejuvenated Werkraum management and all ‘Werkis’ all the best for the future together. The Werkraum is in the best of hands. How wonderful!
I wish our colleagues and friends many more wonderful, exciting projects, productive hours of joint development, and continued joy and fulfilment in planning outstanding buildings.
And I hope that we will remain in amicable contact.
With this in mind: ‘Servus’. And hopefully ‘Auf Wiedersehen’.
Yours, Peter Resch
