Reuse of the Austrian Pavilion from EXPO Osaka
The original design of the spiral followed the principle of “screws instead of glue”; the individual components of the wooden spiral can be disassembled and reassembled elsewhere.
Now, this idea of potential reuse is being put into practice, and the bolted slat structure is finding a new home in the city of Matsumoto, in front of the Harmony Music Hall.
In terms of its symbolic meaning as well, the oversized musical note ribbon has thus found a perfect new home.
