The new GCP – Graz Center of Physics – will be built in the city center of Graz, in the immediate vicinity of the Karl Franzens University, by 2030.

In future, the physics institutes of Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz will offer research and teaching space for 1700 students and 600 employees on one university site.

In the design for the Gusen Concentration Camp Memorial, the former camp complex is made tangible in a networked memorial landscape.

In the Austrian pavilion, the biennale contribution AGENCY FOR BETTER LIVING will put the issue of housing for discussion in an exemplary comparison of the cities of Vienna and Rome.

The pavilion will thus become a place for the exchange of knowledge on what BETTER LIVING could look like for everyone in the future.

Biennale Architettura 2025 takes place in Venice until November 23rd, 2025.

The House of Schools – another milestone in the campus development of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz – was ceremoniously opened in January in the presence of numerous guests of honour.

The motto “Composing the Future” of the Austrian pavilion is conveyed by an oversized, spiral-shaped band of musical notes made of wood – on the pavilion façade. The wooden construction was ceremoniously presented on Monday in the production halls of Graf Holztechnik in Lower Austria and is now on its way to Osaka, Japan.

The redesign of the ‘Von Köck’ jewelry boutique in the historic building on Graben uses an innovative store concept to create a cross-level spatial sculpture that has an effect that extends outwards into the urban space.

The ‘House of Schools’ – HOS – is organized with three new ‘schools’ as a compact group on the western edge of the site and follows the new parking garage at a short distance.
The exposed concrete of the new House of Schools is of the finest quality and is very impressive.
