Escape staircase Sonnenfelsgasse

The listed building required a respectful approach to the existing architecture. Thus, instead of minimising space, it was possible to add a new experienceable space to the very small courtyard with an escape staircase as a walk-in sculpture.

The steel pillars, which tilt towards each other, look like three rods placed in the room; they form the load-bearing core of the newly constructed escape staircase.
