New exhibition(s) in the Technical Museum of Vienna
One opening and three new exhibitions: The existing permanent exhibition ‘In Arbeit’ was extended to 200m2 and designed by werkraum ingenieure kunst.
Since its opening on 15th November 2018, two further new exhibitions on the themes of research, innovation and technology have also been on display.
The special exhibition area “In Produktion” can be seen until June 2020 and looks behind the mechanisms of industrial production. polar÷ architekturbüro is presenting a new concept for the steel structure, which was already erected in 2015. The architecture of the steel structure comes from propeller z, structural engineering from werkraum ingenieure. The huge architectural element can be used flexibly on 300m2, blends into the historical building and visualises the step into the future in an architecturally visible way.
In the “techLAB”, just behind the area of the permanent exhibition “In Arbeit”, modern production technologies such as 3D printers, laser engraving and cutting machines are available for visitors to be explored under expert guidance.
